For antivirus, I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. This is provided free from Microsoft. It works well, and does a better job than other free antivirus programs. I believe this has a lot to do with the other free companies are giving you a limited product hoping to upsell you to one of their paid products. Microsoft Security Essentials is just Microsoft trying to get you to secure you Windows operating system. This will work with Windows XP, Vista, and 7.
